While we were gone~

We enjoyed a alot of these little beauties each morning.
Did ya'll notice we were gone? NO ? Really ?? :)

We had planned to attend our agencies Florida picnic, but sadly my hubby had to attend a funeral. So while he was there we took the rv to our favorite lakeside campsite to enjoy a bit of family time. My hubby even left for work from the campground so we could enjoy a couple extra days. He rocks ;)

Baby girl took her last ride in her swing before I sold it on CL. Actually it was like her 4th ride...she never enjoyed it.

I chased this lil cutie all around the dock, while she tried to escape :)

Would you look at those eyelashes ??

I was rewarded with this beautiful smile each time I caught her. Seriously how could you NOT enjoy chasing this baby ??

we enjoyed the 96 degree weather....with 100% humidity

Finally strapped her in for a bit :)

Hubby and the kids did a bit of this ...and alot of fishing
~Had someone ask me if baby girl was picking up the language pretty well since coming home :)
Ummm, I guess, if you consider baby babble at 10 months old to be a language !??! I cant tell you how many people asked me if Boo spoke Spanish when she came home ! At 6 months old ??! too funny :)
~I will share a wonderful coming home video of my friend Kristi and beautiful Lucy Lane with you guys tomorrow, it'll make you cry so grab a tissue first :)
~I have an early dr appt and I'm pooped.Have to have this weird sunspot looked at. Sun in florida is nasty :(

Have a wonderful Friday :) :)

I've been checking in an noticed you hadn't posted anything in awhile. Glad you had a wonderful time and glad you're back.

We actually had a family member ask us if Lili spoke English or Spanish when we brought her home. Okay, at 10 1/2 months there is a little bit of language going on, but it made me realize just how ignorant some people can be. Guess it's up to us to educate.

Also, I actually have hubby considering an RV purchase in the future. We need to pay off some adoption expense first, but he's brought it up from time to time. Yeah! Maybe we'll come to Florida in the future for a camping trip :-)

There's an old lady at our church who asked my Dad if Elias will be able to speak Amharic when he is older?? :)

I was asked what Noah was gonna eat when he got here and if we had to bring food from EThiopia for him...kinda cute since it was asked by my then 9 year old nephew.
My real question how did you know when you little one was ready to go from formula to milk. Noah was doing ok going from 5-6 to 3-4 bottles of formula a day but i don't think he's liking the half formula half milk thing. Even if I give him straight milk he'll drink an ounce or two before falling asleep and then wake up a bit later and finish it..meaning he has to be extremly tired to drink it all. With formula he would never fall asleep after just an ounce or two.

yep, the girls both came home at ~7 mos old & reyna has now been home for 2 1/2 years & pilar now over a year - and just TODAY i was asked if they know spanish  well, actually, they do, was my answer b/c i speak it (& english) w/ all my kids, but... it has nothing to do w/ them living in guatemala for the 1st 7 months... soooo... i'm sorry to say the 'interesting' language questions don't stop coming! ;)

Pics are absolutely beautiful! All of them! You're little ones are growing so fast! Thanks again for all of your advice and encouraging words the last few days! For some reason, I have a real sense of calmness right now - like things are going to work out soon. Funny, huh?

Where was the last photo taken? Looks like somewhere that my husband and I would enjoy! :)
