SURPRISE!!!

EDITED TO ADD *
Thank you SO MUCH for blessing our family! We have raised just over $800 from Paypal, checks and our YOUCARING page! Humbled doesn't even touch it :)
I have had many questions. I can not share any info on "Monkey" other then she is a cutie. She is  a 7year old little girl who is  active loud and  funny. This is a domestic adoption. Costs are SO much lower than an international adoption, but we still have travel, attorney fees, court, social worker, and background checks. They ICPC process is very important so we have to be sure everything is done correctly. We have used what we had on hand, plus have had a fridge, stove and septic issues :( eek... Next our sweet Annabelle pony, was diagnosed with Choke. Basically a food ball stuck in her esophagus. It was life or death. After trying to clear the blockage for 24 hours we had to call the vet out. Either she could clear it for a reasonable price or we would have to have her put down :(
Thankfully after 2 hours and $300 the vet cleared the blockage! Such relief for our family.
So appreciative of the support we have been shown!

We have a big announcement! We are growing! We are adding  little "monkey" to our family! Read our YOUCaring page for details. CLICK HERE
We have always advocated and fundraised joyfully for other families but this time we need your support :) I would be so grateful if you would pray, share and donate if led to our journey.

Every donation of $6.00 or more will be blessed with a bar of homemade boutique style organic Goat milk and Essential oil soap! Please send me an email or fb message with your address and donation and I will bless you with a yummy bar :)

Be Blessed!

A pittance is left of the HUGE mountain that stood between three young people who so desperately want a family of their own and the family fighting and sacrificing to get to them and make them part of their family.

And we have a winner!!! Thank you Liz for being such a huge support to the Kunkle family.
Please notify Buffey of your prize choice and she will ship it out asap.
Buffey leaves in 24 hours for Ukraine!!! So exciting.

Please continue to cover Buffey and family in prayers, She will be traveling to Ukraine alone. Ukraine is a beautiful country with wonderful people but the winter time is hard on everyone. Power outages , heat shortages, flu season and delays..

Big PUSH and giveaway! For the Kunkle family

"Adopting a child wont change the world, but it will change the world for that child."

OR in this case the lives of 3 beautiful young people growing up alone, in an institution in a war torn country. Things will not improve for these blessings without a family. YOU can help change their worlds. Give them the love and security they so deserve.

Do you have $10 ? Continue reading  :) for a chance to be part of something amazing!

My dear friend Buffey and her family are on the home stretch to raising the funds to go to U* and  walk the walk to bring these children home. Your donation, prayers and shares of this post will help. Be part of something amazing. Lets do this! Nothing is impossible with God and his village :)
Together we can PRAY THESE CHILDREN HOME!

James 1:27 (NIV)

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Tolik (15) and Anastasia (13) are biological siblings. Four years ago, as orphanages often do, the children became separated from one another.  This year they have had their hopes heightened with the understanding that Dale and Buffey Kunkle are coming for them both. The Kunkles hosted Tolik this summer.  The siblings have  been reunited briefly and are eager to be adopted.  Misha (16) entered the picture when Buffey visited the orphanage in Ukraine earlier this year.  Being a close friend to Tolik she began to learn about him, see their interactions and the nudging grew to consider bringing him home too. He prays for a forever family with his best friend and "brother".
Currently Anastasia,  Tolik and Misha are waiting in hopes that the Kunkle’s will return for them.  They are unaware that $17,000 (roughly) is needed to bring them home. Thanks to Pure and Faultless the  Kunkles were given the opportunity to receive a matching grant of $5000 if they raised $5000. Together we made this happen for them! Now the remaining $6000 or so needs to be raised. Buffey expects to travel to U* for her SDA appointment at the end of  THIS MONTH.   There is a weightiness in  knowing that trust is already a painful prospect for the children. Dale and Buffey want these children to know what every heart truly longs for, to be seen, understood, nurtured and enjoyed.
Their family, their marriage,  and the children need our prayer support and encouragement during this time.

For every $10 donation to the pay pal link  on the right side you will receive 5 chances in the drawing for the following AMAZING prizes.
WINNERS choice of  ONE OF THE FOLLOWING AMAZING GIFTS ALL VALUED AT OVER $500
This is a donation based giveaway, no refunds :)  IF we raise the ENTIRE $6000 PLUS needed the Kunkles will draw ANOTHER name and we will have 2 winners!!!!!

Im back and we are doing well!

Hey ya'll. Its been a long bumpy road but we are finally at a place I think we all feel good about. Sasha has had many ups and downs, many challenge's and health issues with his ears. Many behavior issues and anxiety issues. 2 surgeries. In school, then homeschooled. Now after 3 years home I think we are settled into this "normal" and we have all found our place. Tatiana and Sasha are best buddies. She finds his eccentricities charming and quite funny. "That's just Sasha" she will explain. Love her outlook. Benji and Sasha are also close and have a language that only they can understand. That is good...and bad ;) they can put Dennis the Menace to shame the second my back is turned! Definitely keep me on my toes.

Pictures will follow soon with updates. I was forced out of hiding to help a dear friend. Buffey Kunkle fundraise and walk the long journey to bring home her 3 newest blessings from Ukraine. I will be using my blog as a home base, to focus on a giveaway for her family. I would love your support! Sharing and praying go a long way :)

Been away for too long

Thank you to everyone for all the sweet messages. I am very sorry I allowed to the blog to slip by the wayside but when times are tough, sometimes, it is best to just hunker down , make your world small and focus on your family. That's where I have been. SO much as changed , several times over and I think we are finding our new normal. Sasha has had BIG adjustments and many medical issues. Our whole family has gone through adjustments and growing pains. I am very happy to say things are going well.
I am trying to give the blog a bit of a facelift, and will be trying to go backwards and catch everyone up with some of the things that have happened since September 2012 :)
Many blessings

Freedom day-leaving all the familiar ,facing reality

 checking out HIS new clothes

He wanted to just take the bag and leave. He didnt realize he had to leave his "old skin" behind. In the orphanage you leave with literally the skin on your body. Old clothes, down to underwear and socks you can not take. All new clothes to start a new life.
A man we see eating out of the dumpster every few days. I share this to be sure you remember this COULD BE THE FUTURE of many of the orphans who age out of the orphanage. If they dont have a drive to learn a skill or career, if they fall victim to abuse or alchol , this will be them. It is a sad everyday site. Eating out of dumpster to LIVE.

Look at how skinny his leg is at 8 1/2 years old. He is one skinny kid.

Sasha got to play with his buddy little A one last time. Really sweet kid. I am praying his forever family finds him. Everyday in this envirorment damages these kids horribly.

Wide eyed driving in the Machina! He chanted Machina, machina ,machina as every . car. passed :)

Relaxing for a minute with Giana
Celebrating Sasha's Gotcha day with friends out to dinner :):)
Halya, our facilitator, Lindy and Guy House, Me and Giana, sasha , then Wil and His new son, Laura his wife, Sergey their translator and their other new son is on the end, hidden :)
Halya and us :)

I would LOVE to tell you Sasha fell asleep dreaming happy dream all peaceful his first night . But that would be a huge lie.
He struggled horribly. He was scared, and mad, and totally freaked out. It was awful. Awful. Did I say awful???
He rocked, and stimmed, and bit his hands, he banged his head over and over hard! He spit at me, he hit me, and he picked his nose and tried to wipe it on me while growling like a crazy person. He pooped in his pants.

Too much info?
Sorry.

This is the reality.

These beautiful awesome kids are broken and scared. They have zero coping skille. Zero life or family skills. He cant understand me. He has been abused and neglected. Every single sound or smell or sight totally and completely overwhelms his senses.

Around midnight I begged my facilitator Halya to take him to her room. I was scared and so freaked out. I could NOT help him to relax.
She could. He slept. Finally after midnight....

Happy first night free.

Things were much the same the second night. I have been blessed with amazing new friends. Wil and his wife offered to come over and help me. He prayed over Sasha and spoke powerful affirming words over him, all while being in the throws of a battle. It was tough. But it helped to ease Sashas fears.
Now bedtime is NOT a scary battle. He lays down, we read, look at his photo album and pray. He rocks and stims but not violently. Then he goes to sleep.

One day at a time.
But the battle is far from won. The demons he battles are still here. The damage still needs to heal.
He spasms and twitches and chants, and grunts and moans. He rocks. He does bang his head when frustrated or mad. Or sad.
But he does smile. And he does seem to enjoy his new freedom.

We have issues each day. I see glimpses of improvement too. This has been a really hard journey. It will continue to be a hard journey. I really need prayers for Sasha to continue to heal. To trust. To over come.

I need prayers also. To remember to be calm and full of grace
. I was not ready for the reality of how broken and damaged a child can become in 2 years . The battle to heal him.
I am a work in progress. God pushes us harder and harder so we HAVE to lean on him.
I have to lean. I cry, and I pray.

We have been here 7 weeks. I am SO TOTALLY tired and homesick. I want to hug ALL my babies.

Please advocate and pray for all the kids I posted about. They are all so deserving of getting a family and a chance at a real life!

Sorry for any errors, Im not spell checking or re reading. Too tired :)
xoxo
