YES WE CAN!

History has been made. We stayed up very late last night watching the counts come in and when California came in , well we were stunned and excited and just jumping for joy. The thrill of watching history be made with our kids was awesome! I shed a tear or two ;) Thanks to Kendra and my sister who knew I had only one local channel to watch in the rv, and kept texting me !! I was having panic attacks :)

Seeing Barack Obama on the stage with his beautiful family was just thrilling! I am so excited for our country. And I am so excited for our children. A new door has been opened.

McCain was so gracious and seemed so sad , I hurt for him. I really think he put put everything he had into this. But, it wasnt enough. We needed a new direction. John McCain is a great American. Sarah Palin was tearing up too. It was hard to watch. I guess she is on her way back to Alaska now... :)
Thanks to EVERYONE for debating with me. This was a hard election for everyone with strong feelings on both sides. I enjoyed it. Now what will we talk about? :)

I am pretty darn excited about this myself. I certainly don't agree with some of his views but boy did we need some fresh blood. AND...I am so thrilled to be bringing my african boy home when we have our first african-american president. TOOOOOOO cool!! Thank you for all your support.

I find myself (a strong conservative republican) excited to finally have a bi-racial president. I am also quite interested to see what he can do for he economy. The only thing that absolutely breaks my heart is his complete disregard for the sanctity of human life. Unfortunately no amount of economic change will make up for that.

Of course you already know how thrilled I am with the election results. I got very teary and continue to get teary when I think about it or watch news clips about election night. What a long way we've come as a country!!! I'm so thrilled to have been part of this process. It will open so many doors for people of different races in the U.S. and I have hope that we'll see many positive changes over the next 4 years.

I am so glad this election is finally over and we know who the next president will be!! I think everybody got a little heated with this one.

It is interesting to me how two moms who want the same things for their children can so strongly disagree. Sadly, I think that many people will be disappointed. I hope for the sake of our country that I am wrong.

And I was excited to read three2five's comment. She is the only one I have read that has it right. Obama is bi-racial. He is not black. I can't tell you how much this gets on my nerves. My son is just as black as Obama and he is not 100% black. Ok...I am done ranting about that. lol.

Just glad this is over! I hope you had fun on vacation! I want to see pics!

As a black American, Obama knows much about civil rights. Today, the group of people who have absolutely no rights are the unborn. This is what needs to "change" in this country. I hear Obama wants to lift all restrictions on abortions...and immediately sign into law the Freedom of Choice Act.

What about the civil rights of the unborn black babies????

..Obama please protect them and let them live!

I know what we can talk about...

Ways to help others in other parts of the world. I have a blog aimed at doing just that. Would love your input.

"...Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls knows that we know, and holds us responsible to ACT..." Proverbs 24:12

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -(Mahatma Gandhi)
