Trying to rise above it~

Going to be honest here. Its late. I am tired. I am crampy. I am pissed. I really had found peace about our court date or lack there of ...
Then...I went on our agencies listserve. So many happy posts from the families that are planning to leave NEXT WEEKEND to pick up their babies/children FOREVER. Dang it WHY arent we going? WHY? When I let myself feel ...it sucks. BIG TIME. I ache when I think of my baby turning another month old. I want to hold her sooooooo bad. I want to dress her in all the tiny outfits I have bought. And making things worse I have NO IDEA when our court date will be. I am sad.
~I know GOD has a plan and his timing is perfect. I do. I just cant figure out WHAT the plan is yet.... :(
End rant.

oh, maria, i am so sorry. so sorry that the court date was postponed and so sorry you're feeling low today. even having gone through this before, and knowing how "iffy" dates and plans can be, it's still hard; it's still painful. and yes, we still get our hopes up. having read your blog for a long time though, i know that you are a woman of faith, a woman whose positive attitude can take her through anything, and, ultimately, a woman who is meant to be this new little bean's mama. i wish you peace along this journey, and i wish you good luck with the new court date. while we've never met, i feel like i "know" you a little tiny bit - like so many other adoptive mamas out there in blogworld - through having shared adoption experiences (we were with the same agency). and as such, i share in the joys of your new adoption with you; i also share in the sadness, and i'm sorry you're feeling blue. may the prayers and (often lurking) good wishes of those who read your blog help to sustain you as you wait.
all the best,
cathy (ftc)

Waiting is the worst?

On the bright side, the judge in Ethiopia who was out on maternity leave is back now. It's anticipated that things will start moving more quickly as a result. Let's hope for you sake and the sake of all the other waiting families out there that this is true.

I didn't mean "waiting is the worst?" I meant, "waiting is the worst!!!!!"

Sometimes you just have to wallow to get through it. It's important to allow yourself this time to grieve. It will get better. Just get through right now.
Hugs...

I'm sorry you're having to wait. You deserve to be pissed and down. But, you ARE strong and you'll get to that pot of gold waiting for you in Ethiopia!!
