The children have lost..

a true HERO. I am so sad to learn that Haregewoin Teferra, the first advocate for orphans due to HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia and the woman who's life is the story of the book "There is No me, without you" , written by Melissa Fay Greene , has died today.

I am so sad. For the children. For Ethiopia. It was a dream of mine to meet Mrs. Teferra someday. Just to thank her. For caring. Simply caring for the children. She was an angel on earth.

The book is a must read for anyone who has a heart for orphans and children of ANY country. It is amazing and moving.

May she rest in peace.

Hey just saw your post on the list serve. I didn't realize you were in Florida. Where abouts. We drive down once a year either at thanksgiving or christmas to see seans family. We usually stop at downtown disney for a little shopping and sometimes lunch and then on to sarasota to his grandfathers overnight and then on to naples the next morning. This year we will be down there for christmas. Not sure if we'll be making the sarasota stop because his uncle comes this year and we probable won't have room for two more people and luggage with the added luggage and car seat for baby boy.
