The word is in

I was shopping with the kids for Baby Girl when my caseworker called. I answered the phone after saying a quick pray for great news.

We didnt pass. Our birthmom didnt show up. WHY wouldnt someone arrange transportation for her? I am so sad and frustrated. The other families from our agency passed. I am very happy for them. They will be picking up their children March 7. Not us. No idea when we will have another court date. I walked away from my cart trying not to cry infront of the kiddos.

Shit.

well, that about sums up how i'd feel too. sorry about your news-praying for a speedy second date-christy told me she thinks they do set aside some times for re-schedules so it may not be at the end of april to wait--i am hoping it is not!!

So sorry to hear that you did not pass court. Especially frustrating--for both you and the birth mother--if it was for something as seemingly simple as transportation to the hearing. I'm sure she's not wanting to delay her baby's going home with a loving family any more than you want to delay bring your baby home. I know if I were you I would be wishing I could just take things into my own hands and personally hire a driver to pick her up and get her to the hearing. It's hard to have so little control over something so important to you. I hope your next court date occurs soon. Will be praying for you in the meantime.

I am so sorry, Maria. While I know you are happy for the other families, it is just like a kick in the gut to find out everyone passed but you. The family I told you about earlier that had passed was on their 3rd time. They didn't wait more than a couple of weeks or so between court hearings though, so like someone else said, I would think you won't be waiting too much for a new date...although any waiting at this point is horrible.
You'll be in my prayers, sweetie
Hugs,
Beth

Maria, I am so sorry:( It is so difficult riding the adoption roller coaster and riding out the highs and lows. Remember, that you will have your BABY GIRL with you for so many tomorrows and that today will be a long forgotten memory.

Hugs!

Maria i'm so sorry for your bad news. I know how much you want to bring home your beautiful girl. With court closure looming in august i'm trying to not even think of what could happen if we dont get thru the first time. Hoping you get a new date soon and fly thru court..maybe you can be in our travel group.

Maria,

So sorry to hear your bad news. After getting kicked out of PGN 4 times I know how disappointed you feel and how hard it is to see others making progress. Just know that God has great plans for you and your family. Hoping for a speedy court date.
