"The kids matter"

This is just heartbreaking. I admit, I was choked up reading it. Here in Florida this could happen quickly..On Oprah today is a former VP of a school and a mom of 2 who got so busy being perfect at everything and there for everyone she forgot her tiny daughter.....

A woman here in my town did that, and it was a son she had adopted from Guatemala after a heartbreaking struggle wiht infertility. It was so awful-she worked for my brother-in-law-I cried for her and I know she and her husband were just devestated. I cannot imagine the pain and grief and horror. She is currently waiting for her court date about it. Yuck.

I don't get it, I just don't.
I have 7 kdis, a part time job,a house to take care of, and then I got sick and was overwhelmed with life.
But, I never, ever forgot my child anywhere. I know it is devastating to the loving parents, and my heart goes out, but still...I can't help but feel...incredulous.

Can't even in a million years think about how in the world she will ever forgive herself. Gives me goosebumps and tears reading it.
